Another Sinking Ship?

I have been lurking here for a while and finally was about to pull the trigger and start listing stuff but looking through the forums there doesn't seem to be much going on here. I was part of two other game trading sites that went under and took my money with them so you can understand my hesitation. I got excited to see I could get straight cash for my games but digging further that isn't even an option anymore? Why advertise that? I have tons of games across all major systems to offload so that others may enjoy but do not want to flush money down the toilet with another faulty gamesite economy. Thoughts? Alternatives besides taking a huge hit at gamestop?

I thought everything that said "cash" on here was removed a while ago.  Hmmm.... You could always do friend-to-friend trades and trade games and not worrry about the credit system.  You could sell to decluttr.com only if you have complete, full package products.  Sometimes they pay more than Gamestop if you are looking for cash.

https://www.leaptrade.com/pages/how-it-works first sentence. F2F trades are a crapshoot on who you can trust...I miss the heyday of Goozex and others...

We removed cash as an option a while back as it was causing issues with credit trading. We should have removed all mentions of cash previously, I will make sure to update the team that it has not yet changed.

As for trading, I understand if you're hesitant. It can be a while for some games to show up. Especially newer titles. The majority of games available for trade here are games from last gen/past gen to some retro. While there are newer games that pop up once in a while, it can take a while longer compared to older games. If you are worried about trading too much in, you can always start by trading some older/cheaper games to get an idea of how Leaptrade works. Even though it may be tough to get newer games, a lot of users have found success building their collections for last gen/retro consoles.

We understand things are slow at the moment with activity though. I can assure you though, even though things are going a bit slow at the moment, we have no plans to let this ship sink. Leaptrade isn't going anywhere. We have a lot we want to do and we're hoping to make Leaptrade better for everyone as soon as possible.

I hear ya...I'll sit back and wait. Most of my stuff is newer gen stuff as I already traded the older things out at 99 and Goozex to the tune of over $300 in their version of money only to see it poof with nothing to show. I want sites like this to succeed but I also will not get burnt again.

I feel the same. I'm trading in my copies of GTA to give it a try but so far doesn't look like trades will pick up.

Perhaps make a shop system on the website where traders could go to buy items (such as gift cards and digital games) for market value using the credit system only in which they would get from purchasing the credits. I'm relieved to see I am not the only one who posts about credit to cash transfer, but see this idea isn't credit to cash because other gift card types also do not allow a cash transfer. It's just for those like me who are stuck with credits trying to get items no one is posting for trade. Even if you can't give us the ability to transfer the credits, you could grant yourself the ability to do so. If you get different types of gift cards and digital games from Microsoft, Sony, etc. you could sell them in the leapshop (just a name I came up with for example purposes) for credits and transfer them back into business revenue. You wouldn't gain profit, but (if the buy to sell ratio is steady) you won't lose any profit either, the satisfaction of the people who use this website would most likely rise, the number of visits on this website could potentially rise, which means the overall flow of transactions on this site would automatically have to rise.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll will be sure to make a note of it for the team. There is a lot of changes we want to make to Leaptrade, and something like this could be a possibility down the road.
