Apple Is Being Sued for Removing Songs From iPods

I guess Apple did a bit of trickery in the past where they took songs off the iPod that were downloaded from competing companies. Two people are actually suing for up to $350 million. Do you think they have a right to sue? According to the report, they say that if people tried to add competitors downloaded songs to the lybrary, an error would say you'd need to restore your settings on your iPod.

I think it's dumb that people are suing, but when someone buys an MP3 player, they expect all music to work. This is why I never found Apple's iPods good because I hate iTunes with a passion.

Anyways, read more about this here: Newsweek

hmm i think they do have a right to sue dont know apples terms of service but if it dosent state that apple has a right to take songs ect off a ipod etc then thats misleading the consumer. but for that much ehh i dont think so i think they should get a full refund on the product though. also why i stay away from apple mega compenys are always trying to screw somebody over. js not a lawyer just my two cents lol

Yeah I don't think they should get that amount either, but they should make it where Apple stops making people use just iTunes. That's how I feel anyways.

I thought that was odd. Wasn't it that people couldn't delete the album too? I can see a lot of people complaining about that if so, especially if they can't stand U2's music.

I can see Apple doing this. As for the U2 thing, I'm not too bugged about that. I thought it was kind of funny in a way. Anyways, I think that Apple is just trying to win more people over with the U2 thing. But the deleting of songs probably didn't help them.
