Has anyone played the new Battlefield Hardline beta yet? I downloaded it, but haven't much time to actually play it. Who here has, and how is it?

I have, and its not that great. It's a fun game but it doesn't retain the Battlefield feeling.

Yes I have played about 6-8 hours on the 360.  The conquest map is very small for the beta.  The Hotwire mode is very fun.  It's like conquest but the points you have to control are cars that are moving on the map.  And you can sit on on the doors and shoot from the cars.  There are 2 maps that I've played on Hotwire.  The Heist mode is cops and robbers, probably like Payday, however I have yet to play that game.  The leveling up system seems different whereas you earn money to upgrade certain items (seems like COD : BO where you could choose what you wanted to "buy" and upgrade.)  Granted some things upgarade sue to XP and not the $ earned.  I'm having fun playing it, but I am a huge BF fan and am biased.

Been playing it all day mostly and I love it. I can't wait to actually play the full product, because if it's this good, I expec to be even better when it's finally released. Anyways, it is different, but it's good different.

I played a fgew rounds last night and only played HotWire. It's a fun mode but seems you're screwed if you dont get to a car first. I know it's beta and all, but the graphics seem a little flat. Graphic-wise, not impressed.

I'm a huge Battlefield fan and I'm on the fence on this one. Like one poster mentioned, doesnt have that BF feel to it.

I may wait until the price drops after a month or unless I get it as a gift.

it's definitely good the Hotwire mode brings something new to the game and so does heist but in term of feeling like a BATTLEFIELD it does not beat any other Battlefield but still good cops and robbers type car chase shootout and stuff is what makes this stand out as a good part of the franchise

I think they are trying to appeal to a bigger audience of gamers.  I think over the years when they added different modes, they were trying to get the old Call of Duty people to come over to Battlefield.   It sure worked on me.  I didn't like the "running and gunning" on small maps all of the time.  When Squad Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, CTF were added, that brought a COD/Halo feel to the multiplayer.  When things like Air Superiority were addded, that added the whoel flight simulation feel to it.  (I don't have any of the other DLC from BF4, and I have no clue what COD has done since playing MW3 and BO online.  BO2 kept kicking me off the servers due to matching problems.)With Hotwire and Heist, it's more like cops and robbers/swat vs. cartels.  Again, this all appeals to a wider audience and multiple ways to play on huge maps and on smaller ones.  Just my 2 pennies on the matter.
