Entourage The Movie

Has anyone here seen Entourage? It's a show based around an actor and his entourage, trying to get acting roles and so on. It was first a TV show on HBO that was pretty popular and lasted for 7 season I believe, or maybe more. With that being said, they decided to end the show about two years ago I think and then they decided to go with a movie.

Here's the trailer for it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz2HyCgUWh4

Any fans of the show? I will not be seeing it in theaters, but I'll watch it on Blu-Ray when it comes out.

Not a fan at all. A movie sounds terrible. No offense to anyone who likes the show, but every single person I've ever met in my life who did like the show was a complete douchebag.

I completely know what you mean and totally understand. I got into it, but most of the cast felt douchey to me, which is why I thought at times it was a bit more hilarious due to the fact that each person in the show feels like a bumbling idiot.

I can see why people would dislike it though.

The show had its moments. If frankly just watched the show because Ari Gold was nuts. Jeremy Piven is somewhat funny. The movie sounds like a terrible idea, however, it probably happened for several reasons:

    1. A few fans probably disliked how it ended and complained. (I thought it was not a bad nor amazing end.) Then again, how in the world do you end on a good note after so many seasons. I am dreading the

ending to The Big Bang Theory (going to be difficult to wrap up the show). I think it is difficult to keep the momentum on a TV series versus a film. Also, does not seem like many of the actors on the Entourage show are doing much, minus Jeremy Piven.

    2. Everyone took a pay cut for the film. Probably

cheaper to produce a film as oppose to having 2

more seasons. I believe 90% of the cast is coming

    back.

    3. I do not know well it worked out for the films Sex in City. Something tells me, Entourage maybe be doing two films not just one.

I enjoyed the showed. But I dont consider myself a douchebag. Then again, this post will be used as a way to judge me as how I am as a person. I am curious as to how those who enjoyed Entourage are some what douchebags. Is it more of the lines

of "we are what we eat" so meaning in this case "we are what we watch" Now I am more intrigued.

I don't think it makes anyone a douchebag for watching it. If someone where to act like the characters, then yeah, that'd make anyone a $*&#*@ bag, haha. But It had its moments.

Anyways, I'm sure some of the cast members took less for a film. Right now I see this as being a one off kind of film, since I don't think Entourage had the success compared to Sex in the City. It was popular, but it wasn't on that level. I think we'll see one movie. But, if it does well, we may see a second.

Not really too into a movie based on this show. The show was alright at times, but it wasn't that good enough to warrant a movie or anything along those lines.

I'm going to pass on this. I got into the show somewhat, but it wasn't a must watch for me. I watched a few episodes, and that was about it. I didn't like the main guy all that much. He just felt too unreal. And it doesn't help that the guy is not even that famous, and doesn't seem to be anywhere else these days.

Now that I think of it, I don't see an Entourage movie being needed. It's just one of those shows I don't see being a movie. Know what I'm saying? Something like Game of Thrones would easily work, but not really Entourage. Oh well, I'll still check it out, but I'm not going in to expect a masterpiece.
