    Dear New Leaptrade Users,

As someone who has been trading games online for credit for 10 years,  I feel qualified to explain what it is all about.

For me, it is a way to trade-in my old games without having to pay fees or get sodomized on trade-ins at Gamestop.  Let me be clear:  Leaptrade is not the fastest way to get games.  It is more about patience,  retaining value of your old games and the mystery of what game you will get from your request list next.   If you don't need immediate gratification,  trading here can exciting.

If you are trooper and request games on release day, you will get a good spot in the request queue.  Then you will be among the first to get matched with another user trading those games in down the road.  You can expect that your big-name, high profile games will traded in here eventually.  I have not seen a lot of niche games get traded in often.

So, the key is building your request queue over time and reaping the rewards later.

Another great thing about Leaptrade is the direct Friend-to-Friend trading option.  You can get on the forums and barter for games too.  If you make friends with the right folks and are a good, honest trader you can always get something for your credits outside of the queue system.  You just have to know who to ask.

I have made building my request list a weekly ritual and I never have to wait too long for a trade to come my way.  New Users,  if you follow "The Greasy Method"  you too can reap the benefits!

Hey there. Just a heads up. The "How it works" still says you can trade for cash.

"You decide how you want to trade your game - for cash, for credit, or for another game with Friend-to-Friend trading."

I just signed up for the site because it said that. Then I spent an hour trying to figure out how to do that. Then I read thourgh the FAQ ad found nothing. Then I found this forum post.

I tried to go to https://www.reallycheapgames.com and it says its down for an update but there is no ETA for being back up.

The sister site has been down for about a month.  I'm not sure what happened.  Brem might know.  He's kind of the liaison between users and the Leaptrade team.  If you want to sell for cash, there's always ebay, craigslist, decluttr, and gameflip.

@binkbankbonk: I will inform my team of that. I'm sorry if there was any confusion caused. It should no longer say that.

@binkbankbonk & 98skichick: We decided to take RCG down due to low activity and are re-evaluating things at the moment. We don't have a definite answer as to when RCG will be back.

The well had been poisoned by the failure of this site. Same users here were using reallycheapgames. I would have preferred reallycheapgames but a site is only as good as its users. And the users here aren't active.
