I'm chill.  I just don't stay on websites that spam my email account 20+ times.  If you're fine with that, all the power to you.  Good day.

    @#%* happens.

Good luck with the promo guys, this site could probably do with a few more credits in the system to grease the wheels a little.

I have a feeling this thread will not end well.

Since the credit sale is one time per user, and only up to a certain amount, I am hopeful that it is actually helpful to the economy and not a hindrance in the long run.

Yeah this better be a one time thing because selling credits at a discount is what doomed goozex.

The website was never the same afterwards.

    Welp, that didn't last long.

    http://www.leaptrade.com/forum/topics/view/how-to-not-ruin-your-site-in-one-easy-step

I thought the 12 E-mails followed by the apology was hilarious, then I read what the offer actually was and stopped laughing and immediately canceled my pending trade out.

What the offer SHOULD have been (and how I interpreted the subject line) was 25% off your next basic trade, ie: get a $50 game for only $37.50...such as Need For Speed Rivals 360 <wink>.

Seller still gets the $50, but buyer only uses $37.50 of their credit. (25% off)

First The Wolf Among Us Ep2, now this...Quite the shite for one day.

I'm in as long Leap does not do a Zanna and act like an energizer bunny and keep selling credits.

I tend to agree that there are alot of available games and most traders do not have enough points.

Leap apologized about the multiple email snafu.  The same thing happened 99 as well.  No big deal as long as it does not keep happening.  Leap already got a handle on it and it's behind us.

Leap - How about adding some thumbs up and down icons next to the smiley icon face?

Here’s how it works, it will start today, Feb 5th, and continue for 7 days, ending on the 12th.  You will get 25% off your next credit purchase(Up to $60).  This is a one time sale, so you’ll only get the discount off of the one purchase.

The way I understand this promo is based mainly around this section.

Basically for 7 days, each user has a chance to get up to $15 in "free" credit from LeapTrade if they want to buy some.

Buy $10 of credit, only costs you $7.50

Buy $30 of credit, only costs you $22.50

Buy $60 of credit, only costs you $45.00

Since this is a one time thing, and can only be "used" once per person, we are talking about a maximum of $15 free for current users.  Considering we all got $10 free for signing up, and you can get another $5 free for each referred friend, I am more of the opinion that this will help the site right now rather than hurt in the long run.

Granted, I don't know how many users LT has, and there is probably some economic point where this would hurt the site more than help, but based on what I see so far, there are not a ton of trades going on from day to day regardless, and this might help grease the wheels some.

Also, I beleive the AlphaStrike promotion was essentially pulling credits from the system, as LT was taking $70 of credits out of the system per game redeemed.

The Goozex problem was essentially unlimited money doubling for a whole month after the site was well established.  The site was doing around 5000 concurrent trades at the time (I think), and any user could spend as much as they wanted to get double that "value" in Goozex points.
