    Leaptrade shipping labels are $3.49

Why do we have to use labels from Leaptrade?

Good question.  Shipping when trading in a game is the only time you have to pay for anything, there are no tokens or other trading fees, it's 100% free to request games here.

There are a few reasons why we have everyone ship with a shipping label through Leaptrade:

      1. More secure

      2. More secure

      3. More secure

      4. More convienient

      5. Enables tracking without having to go to another site

      6. Allows us to guarantee every trade

In all seriousness, shipping through Leaptrade makes it an easier and safer experience for everyone.  It also allows us to offer our Leaptrade guarantee, because we know where every package is going and where it's been.  You're right, there is a small cost increase related to this, since we have to pay a provider for the shipping, we use 7oz as a package weight to account for any heavier games, we pay amazon or paypal for payment processing, etc.  It seems like when paying for shipping at almost any store these days costs $3.99 or more.

For $3.49 you get all those benefits, a full guarantee on every trade, combined with getting the best trade-in values.  No to mention, with fully integrated shipping, there are even more features the devs can cook up to make trading even better in the future.

Hmm, so every shipping label is automatically set to a 7oz weight? I've traded a few things which have exceeded that in the past, particularly PC games with chunky boxes and manuals. The receiving member is going to get stuck with a postage due fee when those land at their door.

For extra heavy items like shipping multiple games at once through friend to friend trades, the system increases the ounces to accomodate.  7oz is just the standard for normal games.  We might have to get some crowd sourcing with postal scales in here sometime to get more accurate weights for everything.

For most games I pay $1.86 to ship in the US via PayPal. $3.49 is not just a small increase, it's more than double of what I pay using PayPal. Allowing traders with bigger number of trades to use their own shipping method may be wise to make sure those people continue to offer up games to other users on this site.

Fair Enough. After reading your response and thinking about it more I do really like the fact that users are required to use LeapTrade generated labels. It definitely prevents user errors with mislabeled addresses. Setting the minimum weights at 7 oz is also a safe way to be sure that the postage is adequate. I personally do not mind paying the extra dollar every time I send out a game and I know that LeapTrade has to bring in a little profit somewhere so it's all good with me especially since there is no trading fees.

Thanks for the straight forward response. I definitely look forward to trading more here on LeapTrade.

This is true, I even I was skeptical about the site at first, but once I went ahead with my first trade I knew it had to be legit in every way.

The leaptrade label made it easy and conveniant without having to even use another site's label which I haven't ever had to do in the past anyway. The trade gauruntee is something that also kept me in because I knew I wouldn't really be losing anything if something didn't go my way. My favorite feature is probably the tracking as well. If someone used their own label that didn't have any sort of tracking, I'd be sort of upset just because I like to know where any of my packages are regardless of what they contain like a lot of other people. Leaptrade made it easy and problem free without having to hassle the other person for a tracking code, give you the wrong code, fake the whole thing, etc. I prefer to trade this way now because I don't even have to leave my house really.

Yes, thanks LeapTrade for the honest reply.  I actually do like that everyone must use the same labels and the security that it provides.  I'm totally fine with the price although it will probably keep me from trading lots of my lesser value games unless perhaps I trade game-for-game.

The more I use this site the more value I see in the quality of service here.

The shipping rates are reasonable considering that there are zero trading fees.  It is convenient and to our benefit to use LeapTrade labels.
