Will people jump to Apple Watch/smart watches?

Apple seems to be pushing the Apple Watch big time and I was wondering, do you think we'll see a time where people will be using smart watches more often? I honestly don't see it. To me I see smart phones sticking around and smart watches being a fad that will only last a few years or more. What do you think? Do you think smart watches even have a chance?

I am kind of hesitant at the idea of even getting one. I'm fine with my phone and such, but it seems that smart watches may be something that's popular for a few months and then it'll go away. Then again, we could be wrong and it could be a massive hit.

It's hard to say. I think smart watches have a place in the future, they have potential to be something better. Right now I don't think they're going to blow me out of the water, but it could be something that grows massively over the coming years. It could start to become popular, and with constant upgrades it could be sooner than later.

Smart watches are gaining popularity and momentum, and people are going to hop all over this thing mostly because.... Well.... Apple.

Aside from that people have been asking for an Apple game system and an Apple watch for years, they're finally putting one of the two things out there to a moderate to great success.

The last Apple game system flopped, the Bandai Pippin I believe. As for the watch, I agree with MrMario, people are going to jump on th is because it's the new Apple product simply because it's Apple, and it's 'revolutionary' despite it already being done by Android for a few years. Rapid charging was a feature my LG Lucid had before the feature was introduced in the iPhone 5 series.  I won't deny the role Apple has played in innovating technology, but I think those times have gone with Jobs. Now the company is simply rehashing a lot of features that other phones that implement the Android system have already introduced. The day has come where Apple is no longer in the lead in the technological race.

I can see a ton of people waiting in line for one, but I have a feeling it wont live up to the hype. I really think they'll just be like watches that will eventually die out once again because of smart phones and all that.

Like others have said, it's Apple we're talking about here. Of course they're going to jump at the chance to own another Apple device. I think it's kind of cool, but I agree it'll be useless soon.

Either way, I doubt I'd ever own one.

Of course they will jump to it. I will actually consider getting an Apple watch if it truly adds to it. I don't know if it'll change the world or anything. It may just change how we use our phones, but I don't know if it'll really add much.
