Post here if you find any games at thrift stores, yard sales, or at retail stores for super cheap. Just recently I purchased Oddword: Abes Oddysee and Medievil for 50 cents at a local St vincent de paul store. I was going to look at the display case with some games, but I had my nephew with me and he wanted to get going.

Last week they had a used PS2 for $7 with a controller, connections and a couple memory cards. Wish I grabbed it.

I haven't really found anything good as of late. But If I was you, I would have purchased that PS2. That's probably the cheapest you would ever get one. Plus with all the connections, you can't go wrong.

Yeah I know, I feel like a total idiot for not grabbing it when I did. I had money too, it's just that at these stores you don't always know if something is going to work because people just drop stuff off at the place.

Yeah, I saw an oriignal Xbox at my local GoodWill, but they don't test the stuff, and I wasn't sure if it was going to work.

I managed to grab ZombiU at a price drop at GameStop for $16 and some change. It's been in the $30 range for quite some time, so I felt lucky to grab it.

Yeah the same thing with st vincent de paul stores around here. They don't test anything, but I suppose some items get tested if possible. They even have a power outlet to test electronics sometimes, and I remember my father doing that in the past.

Nice. I love WCW vs NWO revenge. Or any THQ N64 wrestling game.

I've been to a ton of game hunts, but one I remember the most is getting Super Smash Bros. 3 other N64 games, and a GBA silver original with Pro Skater 2 all for free! I found them in the free bin and the lady running the yard sale said she couldn't test them. So I figured of they dodn't work I didn't risk anything! No brainer!

I think the best find I ever had for video games was a few years back when I went to a garage sale.  The guy had a *large* cardboard box full of NES stuff.  It had the original system, two controllers, the duck gun, and probably close to 25-30 games (and all the cords too).  He asked $25 for the entire box.  I snatched it up promptly and brought it home to my hubby as a present.  Everything worked!!!  I've never seen him happier.    He played Zelda (the gold one) for quite a bit.
